Dennis is moving into a supervisory role for this club season, handling many of the administrative duties as well as overseeing the training and coaching clubwide. Dennis is Cap 1 certified and a USAV regional rated official.
Dennis is now finishing his eleventh season as the
head Volleyball coach for Lewis Central High School. Coach South has
collected 357 wins with 212 losses in his varsity career. A career where
he has coached for Pacific Christian College (now Hope University) and varsity volleyball for Lawndale High school and Norco
High School in California. Coach South has also coached at the freshman
and JV levels for 8 seasons.
In additon to his coaching career, Coach South was a certified High
School official in California, Nebraska, and Iowa. Dennis also officiated
at the college level in California. As a player Dennis played High School
volleyball at Lawndale High school and in college at Pacific Christian
College and Cal State Fullerton. Dennis has played setter on many club
teams in Southern California and has played in many beach tournaments
in the late 70's and early 80's.
Dennis is married to Susan and has four children
Kyle, Kacy (and husband Arick), Bradley and Bonnie (and husband Taylor).
